Astrological Forecast: 2025 Full Moon in Gemini

December has begun, we are in the swing of Saggitarius season, and we have our last full moon of the year.

Tonight December 4th at 6:13pm, we are experiencing a full moon in the astrological sign, Gemini. Known as the cold moon because of Indigeounous North American Traditions, this is the point in the year where the temperature truly drops and the air sharpens. This is a super moon, meaning that it is closer to the Earth than a normal moon and more brightly illuminated in the sky.

Why Do Full Moons Matter?

Full moons and new moons are cosmic checkpoints. They are our monthly reminders to reset, reflect, and recommit to your intentions, desires and aspirations. Full moons are a perfect time to release and let go of what doesn’t works.

I encourage everyone to use each full moon to let go of what no longer supports the future you, acknowledge your emotions and express gratitude for how far you have come. Personally, I use each full moon to release what no longer serves me, reflect on the last few weeks and cleanse my energy. Emotional clutter can weigh you down, this is the perfect time to recalibrate.

  • A self care routine that isn’t optional and is truly restorative. It’s okay to be vain and care about your appearance. Taking care of myself is a radical act of self love. I am taking time to invest in my aesthetics and embracing the positive change I make to myself. I’m channeling my inner diva ya’ll!

What I’m Releasing For the Full Moon in Gemini

  • The need for control. I am human, meaning I can only control my actions, thoughts and behaviors. I cannot control my external circumstances, and I will continue to let the universe conspire in my favor.

  • Releasing my past. I have a tendency to ruminate. I stew on my past mistakes, failure and blunders. To move and grow, I must continue to learn from my losses and view them as learning lessons.

Full Moon in Gemini Ritual Ideas

  • Journal Prompt Idea → Self inquiry is one of the most powerful tools for self growth. Get clear on what you want so when it enters your life you can recognize it. For the Full Moon in Gemini, I encourage you to approach the world wirth more curiosity, ask better questions and stay open to multiple perspectives. Gemini’s are known for their communication and curiosity, embody that energy by allowing new information to reshape your perceptions, beliefs and attitudes. Allow yourself to grow and be changed. How have you allowed yourself to be changed this year?

  • Meditate on Release → Fun fact? I hate meditating. Sitting with my thoughts can be difficult for me. I want to use my energy to move. But stillness can be a powerful teacher and meditation can give you the opportunity to become aware of something that was previously hidden in your subconscious. I encourage you to meditate on what you are ready to let go of this season.

  • Express Your Thoughts → As a Gemini writing this blog post, I can tell you that I am doing exactly the thing I recommend to ya’ll! I share my thoughts in an effort to pursue clarity and inner peace. Geminis are known for communication. Your thoughts are your words, share them! Have an honest conversation, share content online or write something to yourself.

Full moons are the perfect time to release, illuminate and celebrate the moment in our life we are in. It is a time to be bold, expressive and emotional. Take the time to find balance in the contradictory perspectives you may have of yourself.

No matter your astrological sign, you will feel this lunation. Gemini season was 6 months ago, as we begin to make room for new things, acknowledge what has come to fruition in the past six months. What late spring intentions did you make? Which have finally arrived? Full moons are a peak point of the lunar month. They shed light on our emotional world. And as the year comes to a close, we have the opportunity to reflect on what did and didn’t work these past 12 months.
