Things I Ate, Did and Loved in November 2025

It’s the last month of a very weird year and I’m in the mood to reflect and plan my 2026. But before I jump the gun, I am taking a few moments to share what went well this past month.

Tried Juicing and Loved It

Since moving back home, I have struggled to keep up with my weekly meal prep and clean eating. I miss being a vegetarian in my own space and have been trying to find time to supplement my diet in a way that feels nourishing and restorative. The holidays add another layer of complexity to eating well during the winter months.

I wanted to try something new on a Friday night, pulled out an old juicer and became obsessed. It’s been so nice learning a new technique in the kitchen. I love cooking and experimenting with my food and I can’t wait to juice throughout the seasons. This fall I have been having a carrot-orange-ginger turmeric blend and a lemon-lime-ginger blend as my go tos.

Expanded My Makeup Collection

I love wearing makeup, I love buying makeup, I love shopping for makeup. I have been expanding my makeup collection a lot these past few months and I have really enjoyed trying new products and rediscovering my old favorites. Ulta has a great point system and Sephora has a great inventory. I have shopped at both over the past few weeks and plan on continuing my

Coffee Shop Visits

I love being caffinaited. Which means that me and coffee know each other well. I tried 3 new coffee shops this month. First, I tried Sumaq Coffee off South Boulevard and had their Dulce De Leche Latte. This shop has great service and great food options. With lots of space to sit, work and eat. The parking could be better, but the ambiance makes up for it. I stopped by Haraz Coffee House in Plaza Midwood and got their namesake latte. Sweetened with honey and slightly spiced – this coffee was unique and made me curious for more. I will definitely be back when I am in the neighboorhood. Finally, I ended my coffee tour of the month at Qahwah Coffee House. They serve authentic yemeni coffee in a warm an inviting space. Out of the three coffee shops I visited this month, Qahwah was my favorite. My matcha was perfectly sweetened, aestheticlaly pleasing and so memorable I am planning my next visit.

Got New Braids

This weekend I got a fresh new set of boho braids as apart of my monthly beauty magic ritual. You can read all the deets, here.

Spent Thanksgiving With My Family

Trying to get into the holiday spirit this year, and Thanksgiving was the kickoff! Green Bean Casserole, Baked Mac and Cheese, Candided Yams, Corn Pudding and Cranberry Sauce. I love thanksgiving food and had a great time trying new recipes and cooking with my family in the kitchen.

Locked In for Work

I have been feeling a little stuck at work lately. My feelings feel complicated and layered. Public service and politics isn’t for the weak and so much tends to be out of my control. With all that being said, November has been tough for me and my 9-5.

Locking in for work means waking up earlier, getting a head start on the day and responding as soon as I can. I know that seasons are temporary and I know that my own diligence will see me through any set of feelings I have in the workplace.

Moon Gazing

To know me is to know that I love reading my horoscope, I love manifesting during new moons and I love keeping up with all things astrology.

The energy that new moons bring is rooted in expansion, growth and fresh ideas. The energy during full moons is potent. Full moons bring me release, awareness and acknowledgement of what no longer serves you.

I love gazing at the moon and the full moon in November was juicy and a sight to see. And with the camera on the iPhone 17, I can capture the moons beauty perfectly. For the new year, I plan on investing in a telescope so I can see the moon for all it is and all it represents.

If you made it to the end of this post, thank you for reading my blog post. I am so grateful for the ability to be spend time reflecting, taking the time to type out my thoughts and sharing parts of myself with the world. , Keep experiencing gratitude for the moments that make life worth while.
